Certified CenterAs much as we enjoy ourselves a good old-fashioned test drive here at BMW Portland, there's nothing more important to us than the safety of our drivers. Being all too familiar with the tempting natures of the powerful and fuel-efficient engines that go into our new and used cars, it's nothing short of a tragedy to see someone risk their life for the sake of a simple joyride. And as one bad driver with a camera will show you, it pays to obey the rules of the road.
Just recently, the unidentified owner of a 2013 BMW M3 decided to go speeding along a scenic road in what we can only guess were the rolling hills of Arizona. Since he just couldn't experience it by his lonesome, he strapped a video camera to the outside of his car to capture all his adrenaline-fueled escapades. From there, we see him winding his way around the roads, blatantly exceeding the speed limit and constantly crossing over into the opposite lane despite there being double yellow lines.
Needless to say, he should be thanking his lucky stars that there wasn't anyone driving in the opposite direction. But despite his brazen confidence behind the wheel, it isn't long before he meets a sharp turn on the road, loses control of his vehicle and slides right off the edge of an incline. After rolling his car multiple times and having the airbags deploy all around him, the driver was able to walk away from the wreckage and upload the video of the crash online.
Not only that, but he even included pictures of his totaled roadster being hauled out of the ditch and the aftermath highlighting the car's current state. As for why he decided to share this with the world rather than keep it to himself, your guess is as good as ours. But let this be a lesson to all you speed demons out there to think twice before driving recklessly.
